The Story So Far
For many years, travel has been constrained by limited options – driving long distances or flying through congested airports. Neither of these has evolved meaningfully to meet modern traveler expectations.
Despite advances in digital convenience and personalization across different travel sectors, like ride hailing, the flight travel experience in particular has remained unchanged.
NectAir is changing that.
The company is reimagining short-haul flight with a streamlined “air-taxi” model that offers:
flexible routing
personalized travel options
a user-friendly digital experience
access points that circumvent congested airports
NectAir operates a streamlined short haul air travel service powered by its proprietary platform, designed to make regional aviation more accessible, predictable and efficient. The company manages the full passenger journey from booking to boarding through an experience that mirrors the simplicity and convenience of today’s leading on demand travel apps.
Our Thesis
Our investment thesis is in backing transformational founding teams with the vision and resilience to lead in competitive markets. NectAir’s co-founders, Tony and Daniel, are no exception. As repeat entrepreneurs we’ve had the chance to work with before, they bring both deep industry knowledge and execution strength. They are tackling a massive market opportunity with a unique angle, and they’re doing so alongside a founding team they’ve built with before.
Our conviction lies in a knowing that a change is coming in aviation technology and that the current business model will be upended. In the coming years, with electric vertical takeoff-and-landing (evTOL) aircraft and electric-powered planes, the way consumers think about short-distance travel will be reinvented. It will be more bespoke, sustainable and affordable. With existing infrastructure lagging (rail, roads and congested airports), this will open up many more travel routes and opportunities, democratizing travel. NectAIr is building the infrastructure that will make this future a reality and meet consumers where they are with an adaptable, digital-first experience.
The investment
We are proud to support NectAir as they build the technology, operations and customer experience required to modernize regional air travel.
This funding will support team expansion, continued development of the platform and the launch of early operations.
