Ben Zifkin

CEO, Hubba

Before he founded Hubba, Ben spent over 10 years helping some of the world’s largest organizations leverage technology to meet their business goals.

Ben’s diverse experience ranges from software engineer, enterprise-software system integrator, management consultant and entrepreneur. In 2004, he co-founded Axsium Group, a specialty system integration firm. Axsium grew to be the largest player in its space and was twice recognized as one of Canada’s fastest growing companies prior to being acquired.

Ben is a mentor for The Next 36 and The Founder Institute and he sits on the boards of The Upside Foundation, Ladies Learning Code and HackerYou.

Howard Lis


Howard is a driven, results- and people-oriented entrepreneurial leader with extensive experience in the technology industry, renewable energy, the financial services industry, and strategic management.

For 13 years, he was an integral partner in building GMP Securities into Canada’s pre-eminent independent full service investment bank. He was a founding partner of the firm in 1995. Howard has been rated as one of Canada’s top-ranked equity analysts by institutional investors.

In early 2010, Howard entered the renewable energy industry as President and Co-owner of DC Solar Power, transforming it into a leading rooftop solar developer; company profitably sold in 2013.

Prior to GMP, Howard served in a variety of roles in the technology industry, including Director of Business Development and Division General Manager at Delrina Corp., and as an engineer with Nortel. In addition, he spent five years at McKinsey & Company.
