Grapple Mobile

Brightspark invested in Cascada Mobile. Cascada was developed a software platform to enable customers to mobilize (“make mobile”) and distribute any content or J2ME application (on Java phones) in a cost effective and rapid manner.  This was in 2005, before the iPhone and Android smartphones were released.

In 1999, Cascada was acquired by Grapple, a UK based company. Grapple was a mobile and tablet app development agency that enabled the production of cross-platform apps.

Grapple was acquired by Monitise (LSE: MONI) in 2013.
