Portfolio Highlights

What have we been up to?

Brightspark Toronto has moved (back!) to MaRS

We decided to add a little life on MaRS and move back to Toronto's Discovery District. Our new neighbours include Facebook, Etsy, AirBnB and the J&J Labs!

Drop by and say hello at our new address:

101 College Street, Suite HL40
Toronto, ON M5G 1L7

Hosting educational events across Canada

In an effort to educate individual investors about VC as an asset class, the Brightspark partners will be touring professional offices—law offices, accounting offices, business offices—where they will share their knowledge and experience about investing in early-stage companies.

Think your colleagues or clients might be interested in a Brightspark educational event? Let us know by emailing and we will gladly arrange an event at your office.

Sparked some interest at Kensington's AGM

Last week, we were invited to present at Kensington Capital's AGM. The room was filled with investors, some institutional and some individuals. The positive feedback we received on our investment model was incredible - and it was a great oppportunity to remind our network of the many ways Brightspark creates value for companies.

Move over, Bay Street! Toronto's tech scene is taking over

There's no denying it. Toronto - and all of Canada for that matter - is becoming one of the best tech hubs on the planet. The talent, growth and community that's growing year over year is one of the many reasons why we focus on investing in Canada's tech! Between a deep talent pool and a high saturation of top-notch tech firms, the country has plenty to brag about.
